Woodridge Cross Country Has Another Historic Day at the OHSAA State Championships

It was another historic day for the Woodridge Cross Country program at the 2025 OHSAA State Championships, held on Saturday, November 1st at Fortress Obetz. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams represented the Bulldogs for a state record 21st straight year, with pride and excellence, adding another memorable chapter to Woodridge’s storied tradition.

The day began with the girls’ race, where the Bulldogs capped off an incredible season with a 5th place team finish in Division III. Two athletes earned All-Ohio honors, with Lola Mullen finishing 5th overall and Lillian Singer placing 18th overall. The team showcased the depth, teamwork, and resilience that defined the girls’ season from start to finish.

In the boys’ race, history was made once again as Woodridge captured its state-record 11th OHSAA State Championship—the program’s first since 2020. The Bulldogs dominated the Division III field scoring 62 team points with all five scoring runners finishing inside the top 30, a testament to their balance and consistency.

All-Ohio honorees for the Bulldogs included Atticus Sloan (4th), Ben LeBay (11th), and John Brock (15th).

This latest state title adds to the rich legacy of excellence that has defined Woodridge Cross Country for decades. Congratulations to both teams, the coaching staff, and the entire Bulldog community for another remarkable season!
