At Woodridge, our Student-Athlete Spotlights recognize standout performers from each of our varsity sports every season. These features highlight not only the skill and achievements of our athletes, but also the leadership and dedication they bring to their teams.
This week, we are excited to highlight freshman Logan Guernsey, the #1 golfer on the boys golf team. Despite the team being made up entirely of freshmen and sophomores, Logan has quickly emerged as a natural leader, guiding his teammates with his calm, focused approach on the course.
Logan has made an immediate impact in his first season. During the opening week of competition, he set three personal records, including two personal best scores on 9 holes—44 and 43—and an impressive personal best 18-hole score of 88. His consistent focus and dedication to improvement have quickly positioned him as a standout performer for the Bulldogs.
Off the scorecard, Logan’s leadership stands out. He remains even-tempered under pressure, always concentrating on the next shot or the next hole, setting a strong example for his teammates and helping foster a positive team culture.
“Logan has been a natural leader for this young team,” said Head Coach Greg Heilmeier. “He keeps his focus on what matters, works hard on his game, and sets the tone for his teammates.”
Congratulations to Logan on his success this season and best of luck to the entire boys golf team as they close out their season!
