At Woodridge, our Student-Athlete Spotlights recognize standout performers from each of our varsity sports every season. These features highlight not only the skill and achievements of our athletes, but also the leadership and dedication they bring to their teams.
This week, we are proud to feature sophomore Devin Pietrowski, a varsity runner for the Woodridge Boys Cross Country Team.
In just his second year in the program, Devin has quickly established himself among the team’s top runners, earning Second Team All-Conference honors this season and being a key member of the Bulldogs' run to a state championship this season. His commitment to training and his focus on improvement have made him a key contributor to the Bulldogs’ success.
Head Coach Jeff Howard shared high praise for Devin’s approach to both athletics and life:
“Maintaining a balance of expectations of success, being a strong student, and being a son and brother is difficult—and Devin does a great job of managing these roles. He continues to train at a high level and sets a fine example for his peers and teammates.”
Devin’s dedication, consistency, and character embody what it means to be a Bulldog — hardworking, humble, and driven to improve every day.
Congratulations to Devin and the entire Boys Cross Country Team on their amazing season, that culminated in the Division III OHSAA State Championship this past weekend!
