At Woodridge, our Student-Athlete Spotlights recognize standout performers from each of our varsity sports every season. These features highlight not only the skill and achievements of our athletes, but also the leadership and dedication they bring to their teams.

This week, we are excited to highlight senior Ben Arlia, a key midfielder and defender on the boys soccer team and a current team captain. Ben’s versatility allows him to play any position, making him an invaluable asset to the Bulldogs on the field.

This season, Ben celebrated a major milestone by scoring the first goal of his career in the game against Coventry. Beyond his on-field contributions, Ben is widely respected by his teammates for his hard work, coachability, and leadership both during games and in practice.

“Ben is a versatile player that can play any position for us,” said Head Coach Brian Feisthamel. “He is one of our team captains and one of our hardest workers. Ben is very coachable, and he’s respected by his teammates.”

Congratulations to Ben on his achievements this season ! The Boys Soccer team is back in action in the first round of the MAC Tournament on Thursday, October 2nd, at Cloverleaf at 5:00 PM. Best of luck to Ben and the Bulldogs as they begin their postseason run!
