Genovese will compete in Division II at 120 pounds, continuing what has already been an outstanding junior season for the Bulldog standout.
This marks Genovese’s second straight trip to the state tournament, an impressive accomplishment for the Woodridge junior. Last season, he made the most of his first appearance in Columbus, capturing the Division II 113-pound state championship with a thrilling overtime victory in the finals.
Now competing up a weight class at 120 pounds, Genovese will look to build on that momentum as he returns to the state stage against Ohio’s best wrestlers.
The Woodridge community will be cheering him on as he looks to make another deep run at the state tournament.
Good luck, Gavin — Go Bulldogs! 🐾
